Vz Hotspot is a feature from Verizon network. You can share your Verizon Wireless to connect with other smartphone or devices, so they able access to the internet. They connect to your Vz Hotspot use their Wi-Fi network feature. When other devices connected to your Vz Hotspot, you will be charged for any data they use.
Many devices have a built-in Mobile Hotspot feature. They may have a different name on your smartphone or tablet like Internet Sharing (Windows®), Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot (Google™ Nexus devices) or personal Hotspot (iOS), but Their function is same, but you need little configuration for operate it.

How to Configure Vz Hotspot ?
Here it is Vz Hotspot Configuration you have to do :
From Admin Page
Access to page of Verizon Wireless MiFi Personal Hotspot
–> Launch a web browser then navigate to 192.168.1.1 or http://vz.hotspot.
–> Note Refer to Connecting to a Wi-Fi network for additional assistance. Please Select appropriate option:
- Windows 7
- Windows XP
- Windows Vista
- Macintosh OS X
Enter your password –> click Login.
–> The default password is located on a sticker on the back of the device.
–> Click Wi-Fi Settings
–> Click Basic
–> Adjust the broadcast channel, recommended is Automatic (default)
From the Device
On the main screen of your device, select the Settings icon –>click OK.
Select Wi-Fi –> click OK.
Select Proceed –> click OK.
Select Channel –> click OK.
Adjust the broadcast channel as desired –> click OK.
Automatic (default setting) is recommended.
Select an alternate channel (e.g., 1-11).
Select back then –> click OK.
