Now, this process has been streamlined with a new design that removes the necessity of extra taps. Instead, your various sub-calendars are displayed in a carousel format directly within the event creation screen, similar to what’s shown in the initial image provided here. This change significantly benefits individuals who often handle several calendars associated with their Google account.
The application keeps track of the last sub-calendar you used and automatically emphasizes it when you add another event, adding a convenient yet practical feature.

The process for changing Google accounts stays unchanged—you still have to tap your email address or the arrow next to it to make the switch.
We can verify that the carousel layout is linked to particular Google Calendar versions rather than being controlled by a server-side toggle. Builds up to 2025.15.1xx continue to display the older interface, whereas version 2025.16.0-749613736 and every subsequent release show the updated design.
By merely upgrading to one of the latest versions through the Play Store (which currently shows as version 2025.16.1 for me), or alternatively downloading from sources such as APKMirror, you can achieve this update.
