Location of the Tai Chi Shrine Puzzle in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
In the expansive and interconnected world of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, players are often rewarded with optional activities and secrets that add depth to their journey. One such challenge is the Tai Chi Shrine Puzzle, which appears near glowing blue shrines and requires a specific pose to solve. These puzzles can be tricky due to the game’s lack of explicit instructions, leaving players to figure out the mechanics on their own.
The Tai Chi puzzle is located in a small cave passage that leads to the Cloudspire region. To reach it, players must first complete their tasks at Worship’s Rise. From there, they can go to the Reverent Temple Shrine, take the stairs, and unlock the gate on the left using the Reverent Temple Key. This key is obtained by defeating Commander Honglan. Once inside, players will navigate through a narrow cave filled with bridges and ladders. The shrine is easy to spot because of its distinctive blue glow, which can be seen from multiple angles. The area is situated on the edge of a cliff, offering a breathtaking view.
If players miss the location on their first visit, they can return by backtracking from the Hillswatch Shrine in Cloudspire and taking the elevator down. However, they should be cautious, as an enemy is waiting nearby to ambush them.
How to Master Tai Chi in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
By this point in the game, some players may have already encountered similar pose puzzles near glowing blue shrines. These include paying respects before the God of Shu’s statue and looking to the horizon to reunite with Faces of the Past in Worship’s Rise. The pattern for these puzzles involves performing an appropriate pose from the emote menu.
To access the emote menu, players can use the following controls:
- PS5: Left side of the touchpad
- Xbox Series X/S: View button
- PC: Y key
However, the Tai Chi puzzle in Wuchang has a slight difference. Unlike the previous shrines, the required pose isn’t available by default in the emote menu. Players must manually replace one of the available poses with the Tai Chi pose by pressing the “Replace” input, assigning it, and then performing it in front of the shrine. A confirmation comes in the form of an audio cue and text response, along with a message indicating that an item has been received.
Reward for Mastering Tai Chi to Grasp the Primordial Deity’s Wisdom
After successfully performing the Tai Chi pose near the blue shrine in the cave, players receive one Red Mercury Essence as a reward. This item is not displayed in the inventory but is essential for leveling up skills and attributes. Players can later use Red Mercury Essence at any shrine via the Impetus Repository skill tree to unlock an additional node in character or weapon mastery progression. This makes the reward valuable for those looking to enhance their gameplay experience.
