A notable addition within the downloadable content quests is “Repairing the Orrery.” Unlike most other missions, this one stands out because finishing it provides you with access to an operational orrery. The benefits of utilizing it vary according to the present lunar cycle, offering temporary enhancements to your stats. This makes the orrery not only a valuable asset for your character but also something highly worthwhile to complete.
How to Begin Fixing the Orrery Quest
Once you arrive at the Imperial City,
head over to the Arcane University
, situated just southeast of the city.
Inside, you should
locate a woman named Bothiel
, and she will provide you with a note listing all the components required to fix the Orrery.
This will first
bring you to Camp Ales
, located at the
farthest west of the map
Once you arrive, you’ll encounter a small group of bandits.
Handle them initially, then plunder them.
One of them needs to include an object named an undelivered letter.
The correspondence will indicate that the four relics are securely stored at four campgrounds nearby.
How to Obtain Every Artifact for the Orrery
For each camp, this will apply.
A particular bandit known as the Bandit Carrier
Who will possess an artifact?
These include:

Broch Camp – Elvish Gearwork

Dagny’s Camp – Dwarf Cohesion Device

Bodean Camp – Dwarf Cylinder

Varus Camp – Dwarf Tunnel
Once you have retrieved all four objects, return to the Arcane University.
Speak with Bothiel one more time.
Provide her with all the items.
And she will express her gratitude and present you with gold as your reward, but that’s not all.
How to Finish the Orrery Repair Quest
Allocate one day for Bothiel to repair the Orrery.
With the things you’ve just acquired, you can safely bypass 24 hours. Following that period, head inside.
Head towards the central doorway to reach the Orrery.
After entering, head up to the higher level and continue from there.
Ensure you engage with the console to activate the Orrery.
How Does the Orrery Function?
The Orrery can
grant the player specific enhanced abilities based on the current moon phase.

every three days
, and if you’re curious about how to verify them,
you can view the command console
.
Bear in mind that you are limited to
admit only one ability at once
, and if you need to change, you’ll have to wait for the specific moon phase in order to do so.
