Microsoft has announced its intention to unveil new Surface Copilot+ PCs on May 6, as reported.

The news arrives shortly before Microsoft’s 2025 Build developer conference, scheduled from May 19-25. In the previous year, the technology leader unveiled its 2024 Surface products during Build. However, it seems that the corporation plans to adopt an alternate approach for the rest of its 2025 Surface product range.
It’s probable that two new Surface devices will be coming soon.
A Surface device powered by a Snapdragon X chip might also be in development.
Microsoft reportedly has intentions to launch an 11-inch or 12-inch version of the Surface Pro aimed at competing with
Apple’s 11-inch iPad Pro
. Some rumors indicate the company is also working on a Surface laptop equipped with a Snapdragon X chip. Adding to this, other reports hint that Microsoft could have plans to
ditch its proprietary magnetic Surface Connect charger
in favor of USB-C.
Earlier this year, Microsoft revealed the 11th generation Surface Pro and 7th generation Surface Laptop for business. Both devices are equipped with Intel’s latest Core Ultra Series 2 chip and, of course, Copilot+. Vmeetsolutions Newswill have more on Microsoft’s upcoming Surface reveals next week.
