will reveal its upcoming affordable smartphone range next week, as disclosed by the company through posts on Chinese social media channels. These new gadgets, which belong to the Meizu Note 16 series, will be introduced along with an upgraded version of their Flyme AIOS 2 operating system during a livestream scheduled for May 13 at 2:30 PM China Standard Time.

The Meizu Note 16 series will consist of two devices: the basic Note 16 and the more advanced Note 16 Pro. These handsets have been hinted at with updated aesthetics featuring straight sides along with distinctive back camera designs. The standard model showcases an octagonal lens array reminiscent of traditional Chinese architectural elements, whereas the Pro edition adopts a round configuration instead. Each phone comes fitted with a hoop-shaped LED flashlight.
The Note 16 lineup will introduce the Flyme AIOS 2 platform on non-premium phones, enhancing user experiences across budget-friendly models. This series embodies Meizu’s commitment to comfort and equilibrium in design. Specifically, the Note 16 Pro will showcase a symmetrical frame complemented by remarkably slim borders at just 1.45mm wide. Meanwhile, the regular version of the Note 16 will incorporate a 2.5D-curved front surface paired with a three-dimensional rear panel for improved ergonomic feel.
