PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPFI) – Over 55,000 portable chargers are being recalled because of a potential fire risk associated with their lithium-ion batteries.

The recall involves the “Baseus 65W 30000mAh Portable Charger,” which has been connected to 76 incidents, including four fires and three reports of property damage.
The chargers were available for purchase online via Shenzhen Baseus Technology on platforms such as Amazon, AliExpress, Walmart, and their official site from April 2020 up until April 2025. The prices varied from $39 to $90.
The CPSC advises customers to cease use of the chargers at once and reach out to Baseus for a complimentary exchange.
In order to obtain a replacement, customers are required to provide an image displaying both the model and serial number of the recalled charger and verify that they have correctly disposed of it.
