The upcoming installment in the series of video games will be delayed beyond what was initially expected.

The announcement came on Friday that the launch of “Grand Theft Auto VI” will be delayed until May 26, 2026.
We deeply regret the delay beyond your expectations,” stated Rockstar Games in a press release. “The overwhelming enthusiasm and anticipation for a new Grand Theft Auto have been incredibly humbling for our whole team. We appreciate your ongoing support and patience as we finalize the game.
There was speculation that GTA VI might be released in time for this year’s holiday shopping season, but the developers decided they required additional time.
Released in 2013, Grand Theft Auto V stands as one of the best-selling video games ever, having reached sales of 210 million copies.
