Overview of the 3i G10+ Robot Vacuum
The 3i G10+ is a hybrid robot vacuum and mop that offers a unique feature for small homes: an onboard dust cup that is approximately twice the usual size and compresses its contents to fit even more in. This makes it an ideal solution for those who don’t have space for a large self-empty base station but also don’t want to manually empty the dust after every clean. While it lacks some of the advanced features found in today’s best robot vacuums, it stands out as one of the best budget robovacs I’ve tested, delivering performance that exceeds its affordable price tag.
Some features that are unexpected at this price point include an extending side brush and a mop pad that can kick out to get closer to the edges of rooms and lift when traversing carpet. The result is thorough vacuuming, strong edge cleaning, and solid mopping. However, the 3i G10+ isn’t perfect. It struggles to mount the charger when the dock is placed on a carpet, and the object avoidance is somewhat inconsistent. Additionally, if mopping is your priority, the small onboard tank needs refilling regularly, and the fact that the mop pads can’t be removed from their base for machine-washing is a drawback.
Despite these issues, the overall balance of performance to price makes the 3i G10+ a very solid recommendation. For me, the pros significantly outweigh the cons.
Price and Availability
The 3i G10+ has a list price of $449 (about £560 / AU$1,110) and is available only in the US. It was launched in January 2025 and went on sale in June of the same year. At full list price, it’s $449, but at the time of writing, it was reduced to $399 (about £560 / AU$1,110). Both prices fall into the budget bracket for robovacs. While there are cheaper options, getting a robot vacuum with mopping capability at this price is rare.
The innovative dust compression feature allows users to avoid setting aside space for a bulky dock. Only a few other bots offer this feature. One example is the Narwal Freo X Plus, which costs about the same as the G10+ but has some quirks that the 3i doesn’t suffer from. Another option is the Roomba 205 DustCompactor Combo, which is slightly more expensive but has performance issues. The Shark Matrix Plus 2-in-1 is another alternative, though it has a larger auto-self-emptying base station and a higher MSRP. The Ecovacs Deebot N10 Plus is similar to the 3i G10+ in many ways but has a higher MSRP and requires removing the mop pad for use on carpet.
Despite not being perfect, the 3i G10+ sets a high bar for anything around $400. Its value for money score is 4.5 out of 5.

Design Features
The 3i G10+ has a large capacity onboard dustbin with compression, making it easy to manage debris without frequent emptying. The water tank is small but easy to access, and the extendable side brush and mop pad enhance cleaning efficiency. The design includes a unique egg-shaped raised portion that houses sensors, a power button, and the dustbin. The dustbin’s 1L capacity and internal compression mechanism make it stand out, reducing the need for frequent emptying. A UV light is included to keep things hygienic.
The water tank is located at the back of the unit and is easy to access via magnets. While the 0.2L capacity is small, it is manageable with regular refills. The mop pad is stationary but can be moved out for more thorough edge mopping. These features are unusual for a robot vacuum at this price point.
Performance Evaluation
The 3i G10+ delivers very good vacuuming and solid mopping, including edges. The single-sided brush and brush roll are effective, especially with the extendable side brush that reaches further into room edges. It performs well on hardwood, tile, and carpet, clearing spills effectively. The mopping performance is good but not as thorough as some other models, as it uses a flat mop pad rather than a dual rotating one. The mop pad lifts slightly when moving onto carpet, preventing it from getting wet. However, the lack of automatic mop-cleaning features means users must wash the pads regularly by hand.
Object avoidance is somewhat inconsistent, with occasional issues like bumping into objects or getting stuck. The operation is relatively quiet, registering at 52dB during regular use. The battery lasts 240 minutes, sufficient for cleaning a 700 square feet area. However, the robot struggles to return to the dock when placed on carpet, which is a notable drawback.
App Functionality
The 3i G10+ app is straightforward to set up and use, offering map creation, AI Auto Mode, and pet camera support. It allows users to adjust cleaning settings, including suction power and water level. The interface is intuitive, with features like Alexa and Google Voice Assistant integration. Manual controls and real-time monitoring are also available. The app received a score of 4.5 out of 5 for its ease of use and functionality.
