After trying numerous note-taking apps, I’ve often found myself frustrated with the promise of a “one-size-fits-all” solution that never quite lived up to expectations. Over time, I’ve moved my notes from one temporary app to another, constantly searching for something better.

While the cloud syncing on their servers is convenient (and my preferred method), the option to run my own sync server is empowering.
